CONNECTING COLORADO TEACHERS AND KIDS TO LOCAL CLIMATE JUSTICE AND CLIMATE ACTION

WHO?

We are retired teachers, college students, and community members who are passionate about climate action. We call ourselves, Climate Action Coordinators.

HOW?

We help K-12 teachers integrate climate science, climate justice, and climate action into what they are ALREADY teaching. We plan and teach side by side with teachers.

WHY?

We help teachers support their students in learning about climate change in order to build their hope and agency by taking local climate action.

HERE’S HOW WE DO IT:

  • WE INTEGRATE CLIMATE SCIENCE, CLIMATE JUSTICE, AND CLIMATE ACTION INTO K-12 EXISTING UNITS IN ANY AND ALL SUBJECTS

  • WE CONNECT TEACHERS AND STUDENTS TO LOCAL CLIMATE ACTION

  • WE HELP CARRY YOUR STUDENTS’ VOICES BEYOND THE CLASSROOM

We are honored to have received the 2021 Outstanding Volunteer of the Year award from Recycle Colorado. Students and families in Louisville, Colorado worked hard to get a bag tax passed that will greatly reduce the impact of single use plastics in our community.
